Food Service Manager's Certification
In order to rent our kitchen, you must have a valid City of Houston Food Manager's Certificate. No other certificate is recognized.

The City holds multi-lingual classes every week. Their location is;

We have always found the City to be very helpful. Just show up early to any class and they will register you. You will receive your Certificate in the mail within 14 days or so. Buy the 2-day parking pass.

ONLINE:- The City of Houston also recognizes either a National [Servsafe] or Texas [Learn2serve] food safety certification, and will transfer when presented in person, for a $35 fee.

The Texas [Learn2serve] online course will issue you a certificate instantly upon completion of the online examination. Take this certificate to the City and for $35 they will isue you with the required permit. FASTEST

The National [Servsafe] online course will instruct you to go to a local Proctored examination. This may take several days to arrange, sit and get results in mail.
